Star Citizen Fleet Viewer & Tools

A Star Citizen CCU calculator guide, the StarJump Fleet Viewer, and other community tools — upgrade planning, fleet management, and reference resources in one place.

Featured: Star Citizen CCU calculator guide

The CCU calculator we recommend is CCU Game (ccugame.app) -- a free community tool that manages your hangar and builds optimal upgrade chains automatically. Here's how CCUs work and how to use CCU Game to plan yours.

What is a CCU in Star Citizen?

A Cross-Chassis Upgrade (CCU) lets you upgrade from one ship to another by paying only the price difference between them. Instead of buying your target ship at full retail, you buy a cheap starter package and CCU your way up -- paying smaller incremental amounts at each step rather than the full price.

CCUs can be purchased in advance and held in your hangar indefinitely. This means you can lock in a low price during a sale today and apply the upgrade weeks or months later -- the savings are permanent. The catch: chains are fiddly to plan by hand. That's the problem CCU Game solves.

Manage your hangar with CCU Game

CCU Game is more than a calculator -- it's an asset manager for your whole RSI account. Import your hangar and it shows every ship, package, CCU, and buyback you own in one view, with current values, so you plan upgrades around what you already have instead of guessing.

  • See your fleet at a glance -- every pledge, its melt value, and any unapplied CCUs sitting in your hangar.
  • Track your buybacks -- ships and CCUs you've melted stay in the picture, so a chain can route through something you can buy back cheaply.
  • Plan with what you own -- the chain planner factors in CCUs you already hold, so you never re-buy a step you have.

CCU chain example: a real chain in CCU Game

This is an actual chain built in CCU Game -- from a Gladius all the way to a Corsair ($250 retail) for a total pledge cost of $65, with only $50 needed to finish it today.

CCU Game chain builder with six numbered, color-coded regions: the Corsair header card, the From/To step columns, the Origin column, the item price and savings columns, the ship melt and MSRP columns, and the totals row — a nine-step chain from Gladius to Corsair for $65 against a $250 retail price.

1
The header card -- your target ship (Corsair), the chain's total pledge cost against retail ($65 / $250), and the insurance the chain carries (the orange 120 = 120 months).
2
From / To -- each upgrade step in order. You apply them top to bottom: Gladius, Freelancer, Talon, Nova, RAFT, and so on up to the Corsair.
3
Origin -- where each step comes from: store (buy now at current price), buyback (re-purchase a CCU you melted), or hangar (you already own it -- costs nothing new).
4
Item MSRP vs Item Pledge -- a step's full price vs what it actually costs you. The standout row: a $70 Nova-to-RAFT CCU picked up for $5 in a past sale (93% off). Old sale CCUs are where chains win.
5
Ship Melt / Ship MSRP -- the running melt value and retail value of your ship as the chain climbs, so you always know what you're holding.
6
The bottom line -- money required to finish the chain: $50 total, split into $30 of store credit and just $20 of new money.

Your chain will differ -- prices, sales, and your own hangar all change the math. CCU Game recalculates the optimal path from live data.

How to Chain CCUs with the CCU Calculator

1
Import your hangar into CCU Game
Connect your RSI hangar and buybacks so the planner knows your starting point and every CCU you already own.
2
Pick your target ship
CCU Game builds the optimal chain to it automatically, ranked by total cost -- including steps through warbond CCUs and your buybacks.
3
Buy the cheap steps during sales
Warbond CCUs (real money, not store credit) are discounted during events like Invictus and IAE. Grab them when they appear; they never expire.
4
Apply the chain in order on the RSI site
When you're ready, apply each CCU in sequence from your hangar -- each application is permanent, so follow the chain CCU Game laid out.

Common CCU Questions

Can I CCU between manufacturers?
Yes -- you can upgrade from any ship to any higher-value ship regardless of manufacturer.
Does CCU-ing change my LTI?
Insurance follows the package. If your base package has LTI, the upgraded ship keeps it.
Can I CCU down to a cheaper ship?
No -- CCUs only go up in value. You cannot CCU to a ship worth less than your current one.
What's the difference between CCU and melting?
Melting permanently converts a pledge to store credit (this cannot be undone). CCU upgrades directly without losing your package.
